You may look 5 years younger in one hour The latest advancement in the treatment of aging skin, Bridge Therapy is a family of fractionated procedures delivered by the UltraPulse Encore CO2 laser. The most common procedure, ActiveFX, is performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime. During fractional treatment, only a portion of the skin’s surface is treated by the laser, leaving small "bridges" of untouched skin. This technique makes the healing process much quicker and enables patients to get back to their normal life styles sooner.
Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse What are Juvederm Restylane and Radiesse? These products are made from hyaluronic acid, a material which occurs naturally in the skin and joints. Because hyaluronic acid is a substance which occurs naturally in your body, it is eliminated over time and disappears without a trace. Because no animals or animal products are used in the manufacture of these products, there is no risk of transmitting any disease, and no allergy testing is necessary prior to use. How safe are these products? Very rarely have we noted a localized allergic reaction at the site of the injection. You may notice slight redness, swelling or itchiness, which usually disappears within two weeks with no treatment required. How does it work? The Hyaluronic acid is produced in a gel form, which allows it to hold its shape and fullness over a long period of time. As the hyaluronic acid breaks down, it binds with water. This means that the volume is maintained until the hyaluronic acid is almost completely degraded.
What is the difference between Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse? Each product is made up of particles of different sizes. Radiesse is made up of larger particles, and is used for the treatment of deep scars, and to create fullness in the lips and face. Juvederm and Restylane are composed of smaller particles, and is used in the more superficial layers of the skin to moderate lines and wrinkles. How long does it last? Results vary with skin type, life style and muscle activity. Follow-up treatments usually require a smaller amount of product. Most people chose to have a follow-up treatment six to twelve months after the initial treatment. How is the treatment done? When treating wrinkles and folds, the material is injected into the skin using a very fine needle. The gel gives natural volume to the skin, which lifts and fills the wrinkle. Results are instantaneous. No pain relief is generally necessary, however, an anesthetic cream may be applied prior to treatment if you prefer. When enhancing the lips, a local anesthetic is used. How will I look after the treatment? You may experience redness, itchiness and swelling in the treated area. This usually goes away within a few days. The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer, with some unevenness of the result for a few weeks. What precautions are necessary after the treatment? Avoid touching the area for 4-6 hours. Avoid contact with dust, dirt, and excess heat or cold until the initial swelling has disappeared.
